Welcome to Habitat For Humanity of Peconic, serving the south fork of eastern Long Island
What is Habitat For Humanity of Peconic?
Habitat for Humanity of Peconic Inc. (HFH) is an ecumenical, not-for-profit, volunteer-driven community organization. We are dedicated to building and rehabilitating decent housing for deserving low-income families. Working alongside HFH volunteers, Habitat families invest hundreds of hours of “sweat equity” in building their homes and their futures. Once a home is completed, it is sold to them at no profit and with no downpayment, financed by an affordable, zero-interest mortgage.
Habitat For Humanity of Peconic has announced that they will begin construction of a new home in Bridgehampton this Spring. Applications from interested families will be accepted until March 1, 2010. Read all about it on our news and events page!
On April 18th, 2009, we completed our newest home. This house is located in Bridgehampton, on the Sag Harbor Turnpike, south of the Huntington Crossway. The dedication ceremony was held on April 19th.
